CBD Research Areas

The CBD industry has seen immense growth in recent times. It has moved on from smoke shops to pharmacies. CBD has captured scientific attention for its potential health benefits. With its growing popularity, researchers are studying different effects of CBD within the body, and various potential uses for health and disease. Some of the most common CBD research areas include, but are not limited to, help with sleep, anxiety and inflammation.

Its a well known fact that cancer patients going through chemotherapy can and often do, experience nausea and vomiting. Therefore studies into CBD as an appetite stimulant are important as it may help to prevent weight loss.

CBD for pain is major area of research. Although much more research needs to be done in this area, early studies have indicated that CBD could help with inflammation related pain such as arthritis.

Early research has indicated that CBD may be useful for inducing sleep and could therefore be one of the reasons people are using CBD for insomnia. It is always recommended to consult a doctor if you are looking to use CBD for these applications. Researchers are also studying the potential effects of CBD for anxiety and emotional disorder.

Research Areas of CBD

Due to the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD that research is uncovering, many are using it as an aid for faster recovery from workouts. Its always advised to consult your physician and to bear in mind that CBD is not acceptable at competition level in many sports.

Preliminary research has shown that CBD may also be effective on skin conditions in the form of a CBD balm or CBD cream. These types of products may be used in the reduction of irritation from skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

Rapid progress is being made to help us understand how CBD produces its potential calming, anti-inflammatory and balancing effects in the body and there’s still plenty more to learn. Researchers around the world are paving the way for what could be the next breakthrough in modern healthcare.
